UniFi Network Setup & Configuration for Irvine Businesses

A UniFi network is only as reliable as its configuration. We design and configure UniFi gateways, switches, and access points so your business network is segmented, documented, and easy to manage, whether it's a new deployment or a system someone else started.

What's included

Every engagement is scoped to your site, but this is the work typically involved.

  • UniFi gateway setup (Cloud Gateway, Dream Machine, or self-hosted UniFi OS)
  • Switch configuration, port profiles, and PoE budgeting
  • VLAN design for staff, guest, cameras, VoIP, and IoT devices
  • Inter-VLAN routing and firewall rules between network segments
  • Access point adoption, SSID, and radio configuration
  • WAN setup, failover, and ISP handoff coordination
  • Configuration backups and as-built network documentation

How we approach it

Plan the segments before touching a device

We start by mapping what lives on your network — point-of-sale, cameras, phones, guest devices, and office workstations — and group them into VLANs with clear rules about what can talk to what.

Configure to Ubiquiti best practices

Firmware is standardized, naming conventions are applied consistently, and unused services are disabled. Settings are chosen for stability first, not for every feature the controller offers.

Document and hand off

You receive a network diagram, device inventory, IP and VLAN plan, and secured admin access. If you later use another provider, they can pick up exactly where we left off.

Equipment and scope

Supported UniFi products

UniFi Cloud Gateways, Dream Machine and Dream Router consoles, UniFi switches (Standard, Pro, Enterprise, and Aggregation), and UniFi access points managed in the UniFi Network application.

Third-party equipment

ISP modems and ONTs, VoIP phones, printers, and point-of-sale terminals are configured to work on the network, but their vendor-specific settings remain with the respective vendor or provider.

Common for

  • Professional Offices
  • Retail Stores

UniFi Network Setup & Configuration FAQ

What does UniFi network configuration include?

It typically includes gateway and WAN setup, VLAN and subnet design, switch port profiles, Wi-Fi network settings, firewall rules between segments, firmware standardization, and a configuration backup with documentation.

Can you configure UniFi equipment I already purchased?

Yes. We regularly configure equipment businesses have already bought. During the discovery call we review the models you have and confirm whether anything is missing for your goals.

How much does UniFi network configuration cost?

Cost depends on the number of devices, sites, and VLANs, and whether a site visit is required. We don't publish fixed prices. After a free 30-minute discovery call we provide a written proposal; detailed site assessments and system design are paid services.

Do you run the network cabling?

Physical cabling and regulated low-voltage work are performed by appropriately licensed contractors that we coordinate with. We handle the design, configuration, testing, and project coordination.
